Ayo’s newborn session in San Francisco

“I’m so grateful you worked with us so last minute and also already so in awe of how much she has changed in so little time.” – Kunbi, new mom

Because I’m often “on call” for Fresh 48 sessions, I can only book so many clients a month, and I keep my schedule pretty flexible. That means that I can often sneak in sessions with short notice – especially at the stages where little ones seem to change day by day. This was the case with Ayo and her family.

Before a family books with me, I schedule a video call so that we can cover any questions and so that the family can make sure that I’m someone that they’ll be comfortable with in their home. Once thing we talked about during this call was that sometimes parents feel the need to “behave” because there’s a camera around; they might not touch each other the whole time I’m at their home.

Kunbi and Paul were so connected throughout my time with them, which means that now they’ll have a record of one of their most important relationships. Newborn sessions are about so much more than the baby.
