“She captured magical moments of my children living their lives; playing together, laughing, crying—moments that I’m usually unaware of or so entrenched in that I don’t get to really see them.” -Alexis

Available for in-home as well as on location sessions in San Francisco Bay Area, South Bay, East Bay as well as out of state. Based in San Jose.

What are the sessions like?

During a documentary session you’ll go about your day as you normally do, and it is my job as the photographer to observe and take pictures without prompts, posing or intervention. I usually interact with everyone naturally during the shoot, because getting to know you will help me make more meaningful pictures.

Families often describe their session experience as if they had been going about their lives  hanging out with a friend who was taking pictures at the same time. When you let go and trust the process, the photos will remind you and your kids of a slice of life – not a photo session.

“We were looking for a photographer that would be easy to be around and non-intrusive. I am not good with posing for photos and putting on fake smiles. I wanted to be captured doing ‘us’ rather than doing what we were directed to do, which is why we chose Jenna.” – Julie

How long are the sessions?

2-4 hour sessions are great for maternity, Fresh 48, newborn, baby, kids, milestone and family photography – as well as mommy and me sessions, kids playing with their BFFs, celebrations, and afternoons with grandparents. A Day In The Life sessions, up to 12 hours long, allow for a true representation of what your life is like at this very moment.

These sessions can seem long compared to traditional sessions, but there is reason behind that! It allows time for everyone to fully relax – and almost forget about the camera – which is when the pictures you get are of moments and details you don’t want to forget.

Can we get just digital files?

I believe your kiddos and grandkiddos should have these memories, regardless of the technology that is relevant when they grow up. Because I know first hand how easily files go forgotten (or get corrupted!) on hard drives, all of my session packages include a photo book – which can be switched to prints. This way you will be able to see your pictures every day, whether that’s up on a wall or on your coffee table.

How do we book a session?

Before you have to make any decisions, we’ll talk on a video call so that I can answer any questions you might have, and you’ll get a chance to see if I’m someone you’d be comfortable with.

To book your session, you pay a retainer as well as sign a session agreement. Once you’ve seen your pictures, you can choose which package you want to go for  – the retainer will be deducted from the package price. All you need to decide on is how long of a session you would like, a date and a time.*

*Fresh 48 session and newborn session timing will be decided when baby is born, which we’ll talk about during our call.

Session packages start at $1,275.

This package includes:

2 hour session

Photo book of your favorite 40 pictures (value can be switched to prints)

Full gallery of high resolution digital files

*Payment plans are available for up to 12 month plans.
