My Dream Documentary Family Photo Session Destinations
The year 2016 came and went so fast, it got me thinking about some of the things I wanted to do – but didn't actively pursue. One of these goals was to do A Day In The Life or vacation sessions in other states and countries. This is something I should do before I have kids that depend on me, so I'd love to start working on my bucket list in 2017:Amsterdam, the Netherlands – I've always wanted to go there, but so far I've only been at the airport.Australia – Down Under has been on my list ever since I was planning to pack my bags to go take a 4 month yogalates instructor certificate over in Byron Bay.Barcelona, Spain – I've been there a couple times and LOVE the city – it would be amazing to get to know a local family there.Brazil – I've recently gotten to know a family photographer that lives in Florianópolis and would love to hop on over to meet others with such a happy glow and spirit.Canada – I went to Canmore recently for a photography conference, and am kicking myself for not staying some extra days – the people there were so nice!England – how have I not been there yet?Hawaii – any of the islands really. But I will be in Kailua-Kona in about a month, and am looking for families on Big Island.Los Angeles – and any other beach cities really.Southern US states – honestly, I'm very curious about the food!Tuscany, Italy – the scenery there seems too magical to be true.I could spend so much time listing all the places everywhere, but one has to start somewhere right?As long as the family values real life photographs, understands that this is not a posed photo session, and is willing to just be themselves in front of the camera I'd be happy to photograph them! It may be a regular day in their life, a vacation day, or a special celebration, or an adventure day.
I will do the session free of charge if the family covers my flights and hosts me – as long as I'm fed and have a place to sleep, I'm happy!
