There was a bit of a chill in the air on this May day when Elle's family got together to celebrate her first birthday, as well as her dad's 30th. Family had travelled form the East Coast to the Bay Area to share a few days with them, which meant there was no shortage of love, warmth, and snuggles as the afternoon's celebration took place."After Elle was born we had done a studio session which yielded lovely photos, but it didn't feel quite natural to us. For her first birthday, we wanted to really capture Elle's vibrancy and the little person she'd become.We put together an intimate party of close friends and family, making sure plenty of her favorite foods were around, along with some fun songs she loves to dance to. It was one of those amazing moments in time where she was surrounded by all her grandparents and people that love her, and we relished being able to watch her explore the world with them all as she was starting to take her first steps.Jenna captured her curiosity, excitement, and our growth as a family as we celebrated, and Elle discovered cake for the first time!
