Miranda's Pregnancy Story | Bay Area Maternity Session At The Hospital
"No matter how many plans you make or how much in control you are, life is always winging it." -Carroll Bryant
It's been a few weeks since I met Miranda and Ricardo for their maternity session, to capture a glimpse into her pregnancy. I'll let her fill you in:
The plan was to do our maternity photos at the Stanford Theatre but the out come was better than I expected. After being told I'd be in the hospital waiting until my baby was born (at any moment mind you!) I realized that going out and doing my photos wasn't an option but I still really wanted to have pictures of my time with a baby belly.
A lot of what I found online when it came to pictures and hospitals was the labor or birth part but nothing showing those who were pregnant and were trying to stay pregnant. So with the help from my mom who found a list of amazing photographers one stood out to me; Jenna Christina. She was heaven sent and was able to capture the only certain and real thing in my life; the love that I have for my husband and baby.
Our journey was anything but easy. Waiting five years, having preeclampsia, and even now being in the NICU, all have had their own trials but this is our story and it had made me so much more grateful for my husband and for the opportunity to be a mother. To those of you who have children, I hope you know how much of a gift it is and one that not all have; and for those struggling keep your hope and chin up, the plot always twists. So here's a bit of us in photos and a part of our story. I love you Riccardo and as always thank you for being my person, I'll never know what I did right in my life to be by your side.
I can't wait to meet their little one, when she can go home from the hospital!
