Olivia's In-Home Maternity Session | Bay Area Photographer

Olivia-maternity-session-San-Jose-And-San-Francisco-Bay-Area-Documentary-Newborn-and-Family-Photographer-5We first met a couple of years ago when I was working with models to build their portfolios, and I did some outfit-of-the-day photos for Olivia's blog. A baby on the way was such exciting news, and of course, we had to get together to do some maternity photos! I headed over to her San Jose home, with her baby less than two months away. Prepping for a new baby can be pretty daunting especially if it is the first one in the family, luckily there is help out there for those soon-to-be moms. They can see here about hiring an au pair to help them with everyday tasks and looking after the children, they can also be extremely helpful when moms and/or dads go back to work and are in need of extra home and family help.We spent a good hour chatting while Olivia sipped tea at her favorite spot in the house. She's not worried about giving birth, but she's nervous about what comes after – she's going to be a mom!

"I am overwhelmed with emotions and so anxious to meet my baby boy. My pregnancy started out rough, but now that I am 34 weeks, looking back, the growing pains, emotional ups and down and body changes are worth being able to watch and feel your child move in your tummy. It is mind-blowing to already have a bond with a person that you have yet to meet."

Ever wonder why I post-process most of my session pictures in black and white?
