We All Felt Pretty Relaxed | San Jose Family Photographer Testimonial

"I was concerned that we wouldn’t be able to be ourselves with someone else there." Katie, mom of two

Documentary photography can sound quite scary – how do we act like ourselves? But usually those concerns melt away after a while – one of the reasons why I think a family session has to be a minimum of two hours. I've started sending out a questionnaire to clients after their session, and wanted to share some thoughts Katie wrote about their family photo session in December of last year:

"We were looking for a relaxed and fun photographer, who is good at catching real moments. Jenna came highly recommended. I saw a picture that she took at someone’s home.

I was nervous about what it would be like, not having had a “documentary” style photo shoot before.  I was concerned that we wouldn’t be able to be ourselves with someone else there. I liked that we talked in advance and Jenna was reassuring about what to expect.

My biggest fear about the session was feeling uncomfortable or my kids feeling weird. But my kids warmed up to her immediately, and soon we all felt pretty relaxed. My partner is more reserved, but he still enjoyed the session and said good things about it afterwards.

I loved the pictures!!! My favorite picture is really all of them — because they all capture different things about the day and our relationships. I would recommend Jenna for photo shoots with kids, families — really I am going to recommend her to everyone!”

Thank you Katie, I can't wait to see these kiddos of yours grow!
