The Smith family's in-home maternity session

As a documentary family photographer it can be hard sometimes to differentiate between different types of sessions – maternity, newborn, baby, family – because the documentary approach is the same regardless of the "type" of session.I struggle with calling this a maternity session, as it really just us about a family of five, very soon to be six. Documentary maternity sessions are not just about the bump, but about the dynamics before another kiddo stirs the pot.
