A couple weeks back I went to a ginormous (I mean, cozy is not the right word to describe the amazing place we stayed at!) cabin in Wimberley, TX together with a group of women photographers. We were there for a black-and-white photography retreat organized by
Michelle Gardella – but it ended up being about so much more than photography. It seemed most of us were there to kind of reconnect with ourselves – whether we had lost ourselves in our businesses, motherhood, or the too-fast-paced life we lead.On the last night of the trip we went to Salt Lick BBQ, and I got a ride back towards the house with Sharah and her stinkin' cute baby girl Ivy. During the retreat we all took some lifestyle photos of the two, but for me capturing little things like this gave most joy. I really don't think there's anything boring when it comes to the regular things babies and toddlers do – they're ALWAYS up to something captivating!So – Ivy at Salt Lick BBQ, in the car, and on a little late night lake adventure we ended up on at the other end of the drive:
