Mexico trip | Eight days away from my laptop
Hanna and I had this running joke last summer that we both need a "relaxation trip", as both of our physical therapists keep telling us we are too tense. Around Thanksgiving I asked Hanna if we should stop joking around, and actually book a trip. Luckily Cyber Monday was kind to us, and we booked a trip to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico.
We both love having stuff to do and don't like feeling "unproductive", but we knew we needed a break from our regular everythings to truly get the most out of our relaxation trip. Which meant being relaxed=productivity! We made a deal to not bring our laptops – something I haven't been parted from for longer than maybe 12 hour chunks of time in the last few years! On top of that, the resort's WiFi didn't work on my phone which meant I wasn't too tempted to check my phone all the time either.
It was truly refreshing to not think about work for a week – our biggest decisions revolved around what to eat and whether or not to go for another massage.
It's now been 4 weeks since we got back, and I'm super excited to share some pictures! Most of them were taken on a Leica Q, apart from the ones from our snorkeling trip which were taken with a waterproof disposable camera.
Thank you Hanna for such an awesome trip!
