Baby Giovanni's Cycle

Luisa and Yoann wanted to document a "cycle" in the current stage of Giovanni's babyhood. Oh my gosh – when parents are excited to be parents it just shines throughout everything they do. The joy of when Giovanni wakes up from his nap to the sweet moments when he falls asleep catches on.It was when I was driving home from this session that I realized how big of a responsibility I have as a photographer to make sure that kids have tangible memories of their parents to look back on – which makes them my clients more than the parents even if they are footing the bill.  Luisa was a bit nervous about having photos done, because she was worried that pictures aren't going to be flattering without posing. I realize that hiring a documentary family photographer is brave and am so proud of her doing it! I'm so excited that she's happy with her photos and picked so many for their book.
