Grandma Visiting River | San Francisco Bay Area Newborn Session
Grandma was visiting newborn baby boy River and his family in San Francisco, and I got to join in on the fun as their photographer on this sunny day. Seeing her admire the little one made me think about my grandmother, or farmor as we say in Swedish. She avoided the camera whenever she could, so we don't really have a lot of pictures of her, let alone pictures of her WITH me and my sister.Luckily most grandparents are less worried about how they look in photos than their kids, though – age really does bring wisdom! They get excited about cuddling up in photos with their grandkids, because they know that there are more important things to worry about than love handles and wrinkles – like missing out on being in photos all together.Shep curiously nosed around his little brother, and was undeniably interested in how this baby came about. My favorite moment was when he wedged some stuffed animals under his shirt, and informed us that...
"I'm pregnant! The babas come out through my penis!"
Cue amazed laughter from us adults.[gallery targetsize="full" captions="hide" bottomspace="none" gutterwidth="20" columns="1" size="full" ids="7843,7844,7845,7847,7848,7849,7850,7851,7852,7853,7854,7855,7856,7857,7858,7859,7860"]
