Ruff Monday XVII | Embracing Some Mess

It's been too long since the last Ruff Monday post – summer zoomed by crazy quickly! I've been focusing on client sessions as well as a photography workbook project, which means that Nova and her friends have had to wait.This month I'm taking an online class at The Define School called "The Big Picture", and the class sure is making me think about how to incorporate messy elements in the photos that I might otherwise leave out. The class gives me an excuse to document Nova again, since I can't focus on kids of my own like the other participants in the class are supposed to.I made this image of Nova after I came out of the shower this morning, and found her on top of my just-jogged-in clothes. For some mysterious reason she likes to sleep on the laundry– I guess it's the most comforting spot for her to sleep?
